Notice of Board of Directors Vacancy

Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue District is accepting letters of interest from individuals interested in being appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors, Position #4.

The appointment will fill the remainder of the current term, which expires June 30, 2027. The appointed director may choose to run for election at the conclusion of the term.

Serving on the Board of Directors provides an opportunity to help guide the District’s policies, financial oversight, long-range planning, and overall mission of providing high-quality emergency services to the communities we serve.

Eligibility Requirements

In accordance with Oregon Revised Statute ORS 478.050, a director of a rural fire protection district must be a registered voter (elector) or a property owner within the District.

In addition:

• Current District employees are not eligible to apply.
• Volunteer firefighters are eligible to apply.
• Applicants should have an interest in supporting the mission and governance of the Fire District.

How to Apply

Letters of interest will be accepted for 21 days, beginning August 24, 2026, and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 14, 2026.
