Serving and Protecting Our Community | June 2026

A Message from the Fire Chief

As we enter June and the start of warmer, drier weather, our focus shifts toward wildfire preparedness and community safety. This time of year is a great reminder of the important role we all play in preventing fires and protecting our neighborhoods.

Our team remains committed to keeping you safe through emergency response, prevention, and education. We appreciate your continued support—it helps us serve you better every day.

Wildfire Season is Here: Be Prepared

With rising temperatures and dry conditions, wildfire risk increases significantly in June.

How you can help:

  • Create defensible space around your home (clear vegetation, trim trees)
  • Dispose of yard debris safely and only during approved open burning periods, following all local burn regulations
  • Avoid using equipment that could spark fires on hot, dry days
  • Make sure your address is clearly visible for emergency responders
  • Check that travel and utility trailer chains are secure and not dragging, as they can create sparks and start fires

Small actions can make a big difference in keeping our community safe.
